You're Not Buried, You're Planted

Greetings to all, as we welcome Spring today, let us be reminded to give God the glory because it is Him who changes the seasons. Amen

Genesis 1:14 (NCV)

14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the sky to separate day from night. These lights will be used for signs, seasons, days, and years.

As we move forward and welcome Spring, we see the trees and flowers blooming in full color. They are doing what they are intended to do; being fruitful and multiplying.

Isaiah 61:11 (GW)

11 Like the ground that brings forth its crops and like a garden that makes the seed in it grow, so the Almighty LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up in front of all nations.

We, too, are called to be fruitful and to multiply. The expression is " Bloom where you are planted." Unlike the trees and the flowers, we tend not to bloom wherever we are because we see ourselves as being buried and not planted.

Song of Songs 2:11-12 (HCSB)

11 For now the winter is past; the rain has ended and gone away.

12 The blossoms appear in the countryside. The time of singing has come, and the turtledove’s cooing is heard in our land.

Lesson: Just like seasons come and go, we may find ourselves going through seasons. Sometimes, depending on what season of life we are in, our lives can be challenging; but that doesn't mean we shouldn't make our lives the best.

Let us seek God's guidance always; blooming where we are doesn't mean we should not be transplanted, especially if we feel buried and trapped or have an opportunity to grow and improve ourselves.
