You Are My God

Greetings to all, on this "grateful" Thursday, let us thank God for not giving up on us and for being so good to us. May we continue to praise Him for who He is. Amen

There are many gods, and people worship them for many reasons. But as God's people, we are told not to have any other gods (little g) other than God, the creator of the universe (Big G).

Our God, also known as the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, who we serve, is an awesome God who is flawless and whose plans for humanity are flawless as well.

Exodus 15:11 (MSG)

11 Who compares with you among gods, O GOD? Who compares with you in power, in holy majesty, In awesome praises,wonder-working God?

Micah 7:18-20 (TLB)

18 Where is another God like you, who pardons the sins of the survivors among his people? You cannot stay angry with your people, for you love to be merciful.

19 Once again, you will have compassion on us. You will tread our sins beneath your feet; you will throw them into the depths of the ocean!

20 You will bless us as you promised Jacob long ago. You will set your love upon us, as you promised our father Abraham!

Lesson: You are my God who has done and continues to do amazing things and whose love never ends. Let us not be like those who call Him their God and do not honor or praise Him for His presence but only for His presents.
