Greetings to all; as we progress through life, let us pay more attention to how others act or what they do rather than what they say.
People often say one thing and do another, creating mistrust and a false impression of obedience or loyalty. We have a choice of what we say and do. We should not use empty words to make empty promises. However, we should be able to change our minds when it does not interfere with obedience and respect.
Matthew 21:28–31a (GW)
28 "What do you think about this? A man had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go to work in the vineyard today.'
29 "His son replied, 'I don't want to!' But later, he changed his mind and went.
30 "The father went to the other son and told him the same thing. He replied, 'I will, sir,' but did not go.
31 "Which of the two sons did what the father wanted?"
Lesson: Whether our words and actions are sincere or empty depends on the ideas and thoughts within us.
