Greetings to all, on this Tuesday, let us start our day with prayer and faith that God will give us enough of what we need to accomplish what we need to do. May we feel the love of our all-powerful God; and that we seek His protection from the enemies we live with and those who try to come up against us. Amen
O yes, we will continuously face our giants that seem impossible to defeat or overcome in our lifetime. With each passing day, pressures and troubles in our lives and those of this world are mounting one after another, seemingly growing to giant size proportions.
Because the evil and the ungodliness that we see around us appear to be giants and to be so much stronger than we are, it makes it easy for us to be afraid and terrified of them, but we must fear not and keep the faith.
Deuteronomy 28:7 (HCSB)
7 “The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you from one direction but flee from you in seven directions.
God's word promises us that we already have the victory in Christ because we are His children, and greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4-6 (NLT2)
4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
5 Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them.
6 But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.
Jeremiah 20:11 (NCV)
11 But the LORD is with me like a strong warrior, so those who are chasing me will trip and fall; they will not defeat me. They will be ashamed because they have failed, and their shame will never be forgotten.
Lesson: No matter how strong we think that we are, more often than not, when facing our giants, we must depend on the Lord and his strength; and we must allow His Spirit and his Word to live in our hearts and always go to him for help (Ref. 1Chronicles 16:11).
