Greetings to all, it is my prayer that each of you feels content in knowing that you are treasured and loved by God on this blessed Sunday morning. We must continue to hold on, knowing that every blessing promised to us and ordained by God is on the way. We may not know when or how, but we must trust and believe that our best is yet to come.
Because God is our heavenly Father, He loves us and has promised to meet our every need. When He hears our requests and our cries, He will give us the wisdom to conquer the trials and temptations present in our lives.
As Christians living in this world, we should keep our minds clear and be alert that we have an enemy, the devil who is prowling around like a roaring lion as he looks for someone to devour (1Peter 5:8).
We, however, can stand firm and don't have to let anybody or anything change who we are; because Jesus said, He came so that we could have life and have it more abundantly ( John 10:10).
We must give ourselves entirely to the work of the Lord because we know that our work in the Lord is never in vain (1Cor. 15:58).
If we cave into the trials of life because we don't have the faith and self-assurance of God's presence and care, we won't experience being blessed or have the confidence that we can have eternal life.
Proverbs 3:3-4 (TLB)
3 Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues tightly. Write them deep within your heart.
4 If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don't ever trust yourself.
Proverbs 3:6-7 (TLB)
6 In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.
7 Don't be conceited, sure of your own wisdom. Instead, trust and reverence the Lord, and turn your back on evil; when you do that, then you will be given renewed health and vitality.
Proverbs 4:6-8 (TLB)
6 Cling to wisdom—she will protect you. Love her—she will guard you.
7 Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do! And with your wisdom, develop common sense and good judgment.
8 If you exalt wisdom, she will exalt you. Hold her fast, and she will lead you to great honor; she will place a beautiful crown upon your head.
James 1:12 (GW)
12 Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Lesson: We must love God, seek wisdom, and we must persevere to the end to be saved to inherit the crown of life.
So, let's not get weary in well-doing. We will reap a harvest of blessing at just the right time if we don't give up (Galatians 6:9).
