We Shall See The Goodness Of The Lord

Greetings to all, let us thank God for waking us up on this first day and the first Sunday of November. May we feel His presence as He continues to pour out His amazing goodness on us. Amen

Despite what we may experience in our lives, We are told in scripture to "taste and see that the Lord is good" (Psalm 34:8). Why? Because we serve a good God, who is good all the time.

Yet there will be times in our lives when we will feel overwhelmed and uncertain even though God's word is very clear on how important and valuable we are to Him.

Judges 6:13 (HCSB) 13 Gideon said to Him, "Please Sir, if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened? And where are all His wonders that our fathers told us about? They said, 'Hasn't the LORD brought us out of Egypt?' But now the LORD has abandoned us and handed us over to Midian." Many times, for whatever reason, we often fail to see the goodness of God in our lives. Each of us must realize that we are much more valuable than what we've been through or what others think of us. Psalm 107:8-9 (KJV) 8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Everything that God does for us and through us is not because of us but because of who He is. Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV) 13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Lesson: The writer of the Psalms, King David, had his share of trials and struggles but knew from experience the importance of waiting on God. He was confident of seeing God's goodness during his lifetime.

We also can be confident of seeing the goodness of God while here in our present life.
