We Serve A Big God

Greetings to all, let us thank God for making it to the end of another week. I pray that each of us remains lifted in spirits and secure in the Lord. May we continue to be hopeful and be still knowing that we are loved and thought about by an awesome God. Amen

Sometimes the way things are in life, we can find ourselves being tired and overwhelmed. We tend to forget that we serve a God who is so much bigger than any circumstance that we can have.

We also use a whole bunch of big words such as Omnipotent (all-powerful), Omnipresent (ever-present), and Omniscient (all-knowing) to describe God. Still, when it comes to trusting Him, we also have a habit of forgetting them.

It is easy for us to become overwhelmed by the problems we encounter. As God's children, He has provided us with the answers to whatever situation or circumstances we might encounter during our lifetime.

1 John 4:4 (NIV)

4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them because the one in you is greater than the one in the world.

Isaiah 40:27-31 (MSG)

27 Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, "GOD has lost track of me. He doesn't care what happens to me"?

28 Don't you know anything? Haven't you been listening? GOD doesn't come and go. God lasts. He's Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn't get tired out, doesn't pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out.

29 He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts.

30 For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall.

31 But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles. They run and don't get tired; they walk and don't lag behind.

Lesson: Our current situation or circumstances may seem overwhelming to us, but we must know this: Our God promises never to leave us, and He is bigger than any problem.

We must never allow our pain or circumstances to become more than we can bear that we lose our connection with God.
