Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, let us seek wisdom to know God's will and plan for our lives to go where He wants to lead us. Amen
There are times when we all want to go where we want to go and when we want to go. However, life situations can push or pull us in many directions. Some we enjoy, others we don't like, or some make us uncomfortable.
Psalm 139:7-10 (MSG)
7 Is there any place I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight?
8 If I climb to the sky, you're there! If I go underground, you're there!
9 If I flew on morning's wings to the far western horizon,
10 You'd find me in a minute— you're already there waiting!
There is no need to try to resist going where God wants us to go because He will make sure we get there one or another.
Jonah 1:1-3 (MSG)
1 One day long ago, GOD's Word came to Jonah, Amittai's son:
2 "Up on your feet and on your way to the big city of Nineveh! Preach to them. They're in a bad way and I can't ignore it any longer."
3 But Jonah got up and went the other direction to Tarshish, running away from GOD. He went down to the port of Joppa and found a ship headed for Tarshish. He paid the fare and went on board, joining those going to Tarshish—as far away from GOD as he could get.
Lesson: There is no place we can go to hide from the presence of God.
