Greetings to all, on this Sunday, let us be ever so grateful that we have the advantage and benefit of calling God our Father. Let us thank Him for who He is and for all that He has given us. Amen
Everyone wants to belong somewhere, and belonging to a family is usually the first experience we have of belonging. Whether good or bad, happy or sad, each of our families has a story and tradition.
At the beginning of creation, God designed us to be in a relationship with Him and then with each other. And, despite sin creeping into the world, separating us from God, God still has a plan for us to belong in His family.
Galatians 4:6-7 (NLT2)
6 And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, "Abba, Father."
7 Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.
Ephesians 2:19 (MSG)
19 That's plain enough, isn't it? You're no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You're no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He's using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building.
Lesson: God takes pleasure in adopting all of us into His family through His Son Jesus Christ, and He wants everyone to know there is always room in His family for more!
