Greetings to all. On this "grateful" Thursday, may we feel worthy and embrace a sense of belonging.
In our quest for honor, power, and riches, we sometimes forget that God is searching for us. Feeling that we belong is both satisfying and delightful. Our true fulfillment comes from our spiritual connections and from keeping our true selves intact. Many people go to great lengths to be part of a group or organization. However, since we belong to God, we must be cautious not to compromise our values and self-worth just to fit in.
Matthew 16:26 (KJV 1900)
26 For what does a man profit if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Lesson: In our pursuit of gain, let us not overlook the gentle reminder that we are God's precious treasures; our ultimate belonging is with God, and He constantly seeks us out.
