We Are What We Eat!

Greetings to all, thank God for enabling us to see another blessed Sunday so that we can pause to magnify and worship Him in Spirit and Truth. May He allow the light of the Holy Spirit to shine in us today as we read and hear the word. God bless your men and women with an on-time life-changing word today. Amen

While here on earth, we as human beings have bodies; three critical elements make up our mortal bodies; We have flesh, which is the body, soul, and spirit. Each of us is essentially spirits that live in bodies. I've heard it said that we are heavenly beings having an earthly experience.

John 4:24 (GW)

24 God is a spirit. Those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

While taking care of our earthly bodies is critical and very important, we must focus more on our spiritual growth than our natural development as God's people. It's important to know that the way we relate and connect with God is with our spirit and not our bodies.

Proverbs 4:20-22 (NLT2)

20 My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words.

21 Don't lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart,

22 for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.

Matthew 4:4 (GW)

4 Jesus answered, "Scripture says, 'A person cannot live on bread alone but on every word that God speaks.'"

Leeson: Besides, God's word being life and health to us, we must feast on it daily, allowing it to nourish our spirits; so that we can grow from infant Christians to mature Christians. "WE ARE WHAT WE EAT!"
