Greetings to all, having made it to the weekend, I pray that we feel that we have contributed to the world in a way or ways that only we could do. Amen
As God's people, we are people of influence, and there is power in being an influencer. Because there is a good and bad influence in the world, we must never underestimate the power that we have in other people's lives or their impact on ours.
Sometimes the pressure to perform or be like others can make life feel challenging, especially when many other creative people are around us. On social media platforms, people have turned being an influencer into a way of earning a living.
We may never become the internet's newest and best influencer, or we may never make Time's magazine's 100 most influential people list; however, the best thing we can do is to be the best person that God has created us to be.
Matthew 5:13-14 (MSG)
13 "Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You've lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.
14 "Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.
Lesson: Thank God for the Godly influences in each of our lives. To be the ideal influencer that God calls us to be, it must begin in our hearts.
