Greetings to all, on this Sunday, I pray it is well with our souls and that we all know our lives matter to God. Let us bless the Lord and remember to pray for those wandering and struggling in their faith.
We will make many important decisions in our lifetime, but the most crucial decision will be about our souls. Christ has a passion and a concern for our souls, especially the lost ones.
Matthew 18:12-14 (MSG)
12 "Look at it this way. If someone has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders off, doesn't he leave the ninety-nine and go after the one?
13 And if he finds it, doesn't he make far more over it than over the ninety-nine who stay put?
14 Your Father in heaven feels the same way. He doesn't want to lose even one of these simple believers.
The most significant loss we can have is the loss of our souls. We must prioritize our souls because they have value but are in danger of being lost.
Mark 8:36-37 (TLB)
36 "And how does a man benefit if he gains the whole world and loses his soul in the process?
37 For is anything worth more than his soul?
Luke 19:10 (NLT2)
10 For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost."
Lesson: There is help for lost souls through faith and the fact that Jesus is a seeker of them. We may not always need to search for lost souls, but we should always have a burden to pray for all souls.
