Waiting On God

Greetings to all, on this Friday, let us count our many blessings and not our troubles as we come to the end of this week. Let us thank God for the strength and patience that has helped us to make it through. Amen

If asked to make a list of the most challenging things in life we've had to do, waiting would probably rank high on that list. Many times we feel like we are waiting for something that's never going to happen.

Waiting doesn't have to be the most challenging thing we do in life. When we choose to trust in God's plan for our lives and wait on Him, we can expect to have some unexpected blessings.

Isaiah 60:21-22 (TLB)

21 All your people will be good. They will possess their land forever, for I will plant them there with my own hands; this will bring me glory.

22 The smallest family shall multiply into a clan; the tiny group shall be a mighty nation. I, the Lord, will bring it all to pass when it is time."

Psalm 130:5-6 (GW)

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and with hope, I wait for his word.

6 My soul waits for the LORD more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning.

Psalm 27:14 (HCSB)

14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait for the LORD.

Lesson: Waiting on God is not to torment us but is to prepare us. In God's word, we see many examples of those who waited on God and the benefits that came. I'm sure there are some things each of us is waiting to see come to pass in our lives.

However, we must wait patiently for God and not trade our time limits for His timing. He is in total control, and he brings everything together in each of our lives according to His sovereign plan.
