Greetings to all. As we end this week, if everything does not make sense, embrace the ways and thoughts of others with hope and optimism.
Having things go our way can lead us into a misleading comfort zone of thinking things must go our way or no way. Just as God’s ways and thoughts are not ours and can sometimes not make sense, we must accept that the ways and thoughts of those in our lives may not be ours.
Isaiah 55:8–9 (GW)
8 “My thoughts are not your thoughts, and my ways are not your ways,” declares the LORD.
9 “Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.”
Lesson: Unlike humans, who often expect others to do things our way, the good thing about God is that He does not ask us to understand His thoughts and ways. But He does ask us to trust.
