Greetings to all; on this "grateful" Thursday, let us remind ourselves to live right and avoid engaging in sinful activities that can hinder our ability to leave a legacy.
There are various ways to gain wealth and avoid evil. God's word tells us that those who engage in sinful activities are bound to face misfortunes. On the other hand, those who work hard and live right are rewarded. They enjoy wealth and prosperity for themselves and leave it to others.
Proverbs 13:21–22 (NIV)
21 Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous.
22 A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous.
Lesson: Doing good and living a righteous life benefits us. It also sets us up to be able to leave and transfer physical and spiritual wealth to those who come after us.
