Greetings to all. Regarding true color, which is the essence or nature of people, character counts for everything.
Hypocrisy and deceitfulness cannot last forever. When exposed, these can lead to broken relationships and a loss of trust. After attempting to shape or paint others and sometimes ourselves into what we want to be, there will come a time when, by the principles of God's word, God will reveal our true nature.
Proverbs 26:23–24 (GW)
23 ⸤Like⸥ a clay pot covered with cheap silver, ⸤so⸥ is smooth talk that covers up an evil heart.
24 Whoever is filled with hate disguises it with his speech, but inside, he holds on to deceit.
Lesson: Despite how desperate we may be to shape or paint others into the versions of themselves we desire, we must recognize and consider who they are when their character emerges and is revealed. One way to do this is to observe their actions and how they treat others.
