Greetings to all, this Monday, as we begin a new week, let us help others by being wise, thinking more than we speak, and speaking before we act.
Since most people want to be heard, it sometimes makes it difficult for us to listen. And when we take the time to listen to others more, we will find out that we're not the great communicators we think we are.
Proverbs 13:16 (NLT2)
16 Wise people think before they act; fools don't—and even brag about their foolishness.
Proverbs 16:23 (GW)
23 A wise person's heart controls his speech, and what he says helps others learn.
Ephesians 4:29 (GW)
29 Don't say anything that would hurt {another person}. Instead, speak only what is good so that you can give help wherever it is needed. That way, what you say will help those who hear you.
Lesson: Since our mouths reveal what's in our hearts (Luke 6:45), Let us have the heart of a Christian and think before we act and think about what we say before saying anything that will hurt others.
