The Next Chapter

Greetings to all, thank God for allowing us to see another weekend. After a long week of moving forward, let us seek to continue living out God's purpose for our lives. Amen

Our destiny is up to us; each of us is born with a purpose that will not always be easy to fulfill. However, what will make fulfilling our destiny difficult is when we are not mentally or spiritually capable of moving forward from our current and past pains and sufferings.

We have the power to say this is not how my story will end. No matter where we find ourselves in life's book, we are where we are supposed to be, and we don't have to stop there; we must keep turning the pages even when we feel we can't go on.

I read a quote that says: "God has a plan for our pain and a reason for our struggles and a gift for our faithfulness" if we don't give up.

Throughout the Bible, we are encouraged to move forward, always looking ahead.

Philippians 3:12-14 (GW)

12 It's not that I've already reached the goal or have already completed the course. But I run to win that which Jesus Christ has already won for me.

13 Brothers and sisters, I can't consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do: I don't look back, I lengthen my stride, and

14 I run straight toward the goal to win the prize that God's heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus.

The word lets us know that there is a time and a purpose for everything. At some point, we will all come face to face with life and death. And, when faced with an ending, we don't have to be afraid.

Philippians 1:21-23 (GW)

21 Christ means everything to me in this life, and when I die I'll have even more.

22 If I continue to live in this life, my work will produce more results. I don't know which I would prefer.

23 I find it hard to choose between the two. I would like to leave this life and be with Christ. That's by far the better choice.

Lesson: We cannot move forward and start our next chapter if we keep re-reading the last chapter or stop reading.

We should thank God for the things that have ended in our lives and praise God for the new beginnings in our lives.
