Greetings to all, we've made it to this Friday morning, the end of another week. It is my prayer that everyone has had a blessed week thus far. I pray that no matter what is and has happened, we realize that God is in control. Amen
No matter who we are, we all want to know that we matter. We want to know that we're seen and that we're heard. Each day that has passed, and each day to come, we will undoubtedly pray and cry out to God to help us make it through.
Why? Because as God's people, we know that God is an incredible listener, and nothing can separate us from Him (Romans 8:38-39). He doesn't change how He feels about, God listens, and He hears our cries.
We may sometimes feel that we are not worthy of being seen or heard, but the Psalmist lets us know that God will listen to us even when we are not our best.
Psalm 17:6 (GW)
6 I have called on you because you answer me, O God. Turn your ear toward me. Hear what I have to say.
Psalm 120:1 (NLT2)
1 I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.
Psalm 55:16-17 (KJV)
16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Lesson: We may sometimes find ourselves crying out to God and feeling like He's not listening or hearing our cries. He hears all of them. Just be patient; God answers them according to His will.
The writer of proverbs lets us know that we can block our answers as well. He says: "The one who shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will himself also call out and not be answered" (Proverbs 21:13).
