Greetings to all; as we draw near and worship God this Sunday, may He comfort and heal our brokenness.
To God, there is beauty in our brokenness. We confess our sins to God in prayers from broken and repented hearts. For the consequences of our sins, there is no better gift or sacrifice to God than our broken and contrite hearts. Only the beauty of our brokenness will do. No other sacrifice will do.
Psalm 51:17 (NCV)
17 The sacrifice God wants is a broken spirit. God, you will not reject a broken heart that is sorry for sin.
Lesson: While God does not cause brokenness in our lives, He will use the brokenness our hearts experience to turn our hearts to Him.
