Talk To Yourself

Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, let us choose wisely the voices that we listen to if we want to advance and excel in life. Amen

Need encouragement to do more or do better in life? It matters whose voice we listen to, especially when it's our own. The word tells us to think positive thoughts.

Philippians 4:8 (NCV)

8 Brothers and sisters, think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.

There is power in talking to ourselves. However, there is a misconception that talking to yourself is a sign that you've lost your mind. For many of us, our survival and ability to succeed has resulted from talking to ourselves.

What we think in our minds controls most of what we think and believe about ourselves. Having positive thoughts allows us to speak positive, encouraging, and uplifting words to ourselves and those around us.

Psalm 19:14 (NRSV)

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Lesson: The thoughts in our minds will determine what comes out in our words and actions and what we tell ourselves. So, each day, to ensure that we excel in life and live a life of positivity, we must remove negative thoughts from our minds.
