Greetings to all, on this new Monday, new week, and new month, may our days ahead be filled with hope and happiness as we discern the many blessings that God has for each of us. May God give each of us strength and the courage to walk on no matter how long or how rough the road ahead may be. Amen
As we begin the month of March, I can't help but think of all the newness that I see as this month makes its arrival. I see the flowering bulbs have made the initiative to make their early spring arrival as bursts of sunshine come through and the temperature warms a little more.
It's like they are offering a forecast of hope that brighter days are ahead as they burst through the now thawed and warming soil.
We must be like the flowering bulbs even when life seems complicated; we must wait on God's timing, then we shall thrive by stepping into our sometimes newness and the purpose of being and doing what God has created us for.
Psalm 27:14 (GW)
14 Wait with hope for the LORD. Be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Yes, wait with hope for the LORD.
Waiting does not always mean doing nothing. Often, we pray and ask God for His help and guidance, then we do nothing but wait.
Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT2)
4 Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow.
5 Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long, I put my hope in you.
There is an African Proverb that says: "When you pray move your feet."
Lesson: God will direct our footsteps, and he will remove the stumbling blocks on our paths so that we can move freely, but He will never force us to move our feet.
We should not ask God to order our steps or direct our way if we are not going to move our feet. Let us take the initiative to move our feet in the direction that God shows us and let us walk upright in His sight.
