Greetings to all, on this Saturday, let us thank God for the grace of life that He has given to us, and let's keep our eyes on the prize. Amen
Life is often compared to running a lifelong race, and many times, we will face obstacles and hindrances. We will want to turn back or give up when we need to keep it moving.
Galatians 5:7-8 (MSG)
7 You were running superbly! Who cut in on you, deflecting you from the true course of obedience?
8 This detour doesn't come from the One who called you into the race in the first place.
Despite experiencing situations or people trying to hinder us by slowing us down, stopping us, or draining the energy we have. We must remain committed, faithful and continue running this race of life.
Matthew 16:21-23 (RSV)
21 From that time, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.
22 And Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, "God forbid, Lord! This shall never happen to you."
23 But he turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me; for you are not on the side of God, but of men."
Lesson: Take pride in knowing that you are running a good race by doing the right things that it takes to honor God in life and don't give situations and others the power to hinder us from focusing on staying in the race.
