Greetings to all; this Sunday, let us firmly plant ourselves on the word of truth, recognizing its matchless power as our foremost defense against Satan.
This word is not just a concept but a gift from God to each of us, a tool we can wield daily. God, in His infinite wisdom, has bestowed upon us the gift of the most potent weapon, the word of truth, to use against Satan's only weapon, which is lies.
John 17:17–19 (GW)
17 "Use the truth to make them holy. Your words are truth.
18 I have sent them like you sent me into the world.
19 I am dedicating myself to this holy work I am doing for them so that they, too, will use the truth to be holy.
Lesson: The importance of God's word goes far beyond knowing. With the word of truth, we can counter Satan's strategies and conquer any obstacles that come our way. Not only is it the only weapon against sin, but it also sanctifies us and makes us holy.
