Greetings to all, as we begin this week, let's pause to do a self-reflection and let us be free from unnecessary concerns by surrendering control of our thoughts, words, and actions to the Lord.
There is value and power in self-reflection. With only having one life to live, we should never compare ourselves to others. If we are going to keep moving forward, living up to our God-given destiny and the plans He has for our lives, we must be careful not to focus so much on others and things around us.
Galatians 6:4-5 (MSG)
4 Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given and then sink yourself into that. Don't be impressed with yourself. Don't compare yourself with others.
5 Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.
1 John 4:4 (RSV)
4 Little children, you are of God, and have overcome them; for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Lesson: Living what we believe can be a daily struggle, but meditation and self-reflection help us find God within us. We can also correct any shortcomings, allowing us to repent and better focus on our beliefs and morals.
