Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, let us keep God first place in our thoughts. Let us ask God for a renewed strength and an energized faith to run the race laid out for us. Amen
Running our race doesn't mean that we are to run a race physically, but it does mean that each of us is to do and be our best at what we can and live our lives with patience and endurance as we do what we do to the best of our abilities.
Hebrews 12:1 (GW)
1 Since we are surrounded by so many examples {of faith}, we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us. We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up.
We tend to feel that we are failing in life unless we're getting outward and loud applause and accolades. Until we grow and mature spiritually on this spiritual journey, called life, we will not finish our race set before us successful.
Acts 20:24 (GW)
24 But I don't place any value on my own life. I want to finish the race I'm running. I want to carry out the mission I received from the Lord Jesus—the mission of testifying to the Good News of God's kindness.
In the scripture, Paul considered his life of no value unless he used it for God's work. He felt like what he put into life was far more important than what he got out.
Lesson: Although God promises never to leave us or forsake us, the journey of a Christian's life is no easy task, but it is possible! We are not running this race alone but with God's Grace.
