Greetings to all, Happy Easter Sunday! Let us lift our eyes and hearts towards heaven in total adoration for what Jesus our Risen Savior has done for the whole world. Amen
Despite all that the world is going through, we still have much to be joyful and hopeful about. On this Easter, let us resist the temptations to focus on the pain and sorrow surrounding us.
It may have seemed like Satan had the victory at the cross, but God turned it into a defeat for Satan and a win for Jesus and each of us when Jesus rosed from the dead.
Matthew 28:1-6 (GW)
1 After the day of worship, as the sun rose Sunday morning, Mary from Magdala and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2 Suddenly, there was a powerful earthquake. An angel of the Lord had come down from heaven, rolled the stone away, and was sitting on it.
3 He was as bright as lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow.
4 The guards were so deathly afraid of him that they shook.
5 The angel said to the women, "Don't be afraid! I know you're looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
6 He's not here. He has been brought back to life as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying.
1 Corinthians 15:57 (GW)
57 Thank God that he gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lesson: Sometimes we feel like we are losing in life, and it may look like Satan is winning; not so, according to Pope John II, "we shouldn't abandon ourselves to despair because we are Easter people and hallelujah is our song."
Today, we are victorious because "Jesus has risen, He has risen indeed!" "Hallelujah"!
