Greetings to all, on this Saturday, may each of us passionately pause to pray and praise God for where we are in life at this time. May His peace give us rest and comfort.
In life, we will not always understand what God is up to, and there will be times in our lives when we should slow down to enjoy life, avoid burnout, anxiety, and stay out of trouble.
Psalm 61:2-5 (MSG)
2 When I'm far from anywhere, down to my last gasp, I call out, "Guide me up High Rock Mountain!"
3 You've always given me breathing room, a place to get away from it all,
4 A lifetime pass to your safe-house, an open invitation as your guest.
5 You've always taken me seriously, God, made me welcome among those who know and love you.
Oh, how easy life would be for those who find it hard to slow down if we had a literal pause button that we could push, especially when we were enjoying life or not enjoying a particular moment in time.
There is no literal pause button that we can push to slow down or pause our lives, but the following scriptures give us ways to pause.
Psalm 46:10a (RSV)
10 "Be still, and know that I am God."
Psalm 62:1 (NLT2)
1 I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.
Lesson: When we don't have peace and balance, life can go by so quickly. It's ok to push pause, slow down, appreciate the journey, and not miss precious and meaningful moments with God and those we love.
