Prayer Posture

Greetings to all; this Sunday, let us pray, pray, and pray.

Establishing a genuine and healthy prayer life is important. We must pray whether we sit, stand, lift our hands, or kneel. While the Bible offers many positions for praying, God desires and emphasizes only one posture: our heart.

Matthew 6:5–6 (NCV)

5 "When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites. They love to stand in the synagogues and street corners and pray so people will see them. I tell you the truth, they already have their full reward.

6 When you pray, you should go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who cannot be seen. Your Father can secretly know what you do, and he will reward you.

Lesson: Remember, there is freedom in prayer. Prayer is not dependent on body positions. We can use our whole bodies. But what truly matters to God is the sincerity and depth of one's heart rather than outward actions or appearances.
