Power In Prayer

Greetings to all, thank God for waking us up on this blessed Sunday morning. Let us thank Him for allowing us to come before His throne with praise to worship Him boldly. On this day that we set aside to honor God, let us lay our burdens aside and offer up our most sincere prayers and praise like never before. Amen

We must never underestimate the power in prayer. We are facing what many perceive as the most challenging time in our lifetime. Many are anxious, confused, and just worried. During times like this, we must turn to God in prayer for wisdom, peace, courage, and strength that only He can give us.

James 5:16 (NLT2)

16  Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

1 John 5:14-15 (TLB)

14 And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will.

15 And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us.

Praying for God's will is not always easy for us to do, especially when the things we want are not according to His will. Jesus, in the model prayer, teaches the disciples and us to pray for God's will to be done, on Earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:9-10).

When we pray for God's will to be done, we acknowledge that He knows what is best and that we surrender our will to his will.

Almost always, we look for immediate answers to our prayers and wonder if God has heard us when we don't see results. Prayer is a God thing, and He does hear our prayers.

Lesson: God will respond to our prayers four ways: Yes, No, Wait and My Grace is Sufficient. We must trust that God will answer at the right time.

While we don't immediately see answers, the results are always on time. We must know and believe that there is power in prayer when we pray according to God's will.
