Greetings to all; on this "grateful" Thursday, let us choose to serve God over everything.
We all desire our portion of the good things in life. But when it comes to poverty, no one wants that portion. As God's people, when we choose Him over everything, we can be content in poverty or riches, whichever one we find ourselves.
Proverbs 30:8–9 (NCV)
8 Keep me from lying and being dishonest. And do not make me rich or poor; give me enough food each day.
9 If I have too much, I might reject you and say, 'I don't know the LORD.' If I am poor, I might steal and disgrace the name of my God.
Lesson: Balance in life is crucial. There is no need for us to forget or dishonor God. When we choose Him, He will give us enough for our daily portion.
