Plan Of Man, The Sovereignty Of God

Greetings to all, let us thank God for allowing us to see this Tuesday morning. May we be comforted today knowing that God knows and understand what we are going through individually and collectively. Amen

As God's people, we are to depend on and put our lives in His mighty hands no matter what.

It's our desire here @ the Well to not discuss politics. However, on this election day, I'm choosing to address the importance of voting.

No matter what side we find ourselves on in this political process, we must be ok when it's all said and done. It will either be God's perfect will or His permissive will that will be done.

Despite that, we must realize and acknowledge that we are responsible as Christians to exercise our rights to vote when choosing political leaders. These people none of them perfect, will only temporarily represent us in government.

1 Samuel 8:5b-7 (TLB)

5 "Give us a king like all the other nations have," they pleaded.

6 Samuel was terribly upset and went to the Lord for advice.

7 "Do as they say," the Lord replied, "for I am the one they are rejecting, not you—they don't want me to be their king any longer.

Proverbs 16:33 (MSG)

33 Make your motions and cast your votes, but GOD has the final say.

Isaiah 9:6-7 (TLB)

6 For unto us a child is born; unto us, a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder. These will be his royal titles: "Wonderful," "Counselor," "The Mighty God," "The Everlasting Father," "The Prince of Peace."

7 His ever-expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule with perfect fairness and justice from the throne of his father David. He will bring true justice and peace to all the nations of the world. This is going to happen because the Lord of heaven's armies has dedicated himself to do it!

Lesson: The word lets us know that we lose our way without good direction, and the more wise counsel we follow, the better our chances (Proverbs 11:14 MSG).

As Christians, let us unite and approach the throne of God with confidence in prayer first and foremost for God's will to prevail and that we will have an open and fair election that will have an enduring Godly effect long after this election.
