Greetings to all, on this Sunday, let us show God that we value and appreciate His words by hiding them in our hearts and honoring Him with them. Amen
In life, we look for our value and worth in many things. God's word is valuable, and it also shows us who we are and that we are valuable to God. As useful and necessary as God's word, it is not always accepted or seen as beneficial.
Hebrews 4:12 (TLB)
12 For whatever God says to us is full of living power: it is sharper than the sharpest dagger, cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are.
In the sermon on the mount, Jesus compares people who don't know the value of life and don't value the truth of His words as having an animal-like nature of a pig. They have no desire for and cannot appreciate eternal and spiritual things.
Matthew 7:6 (NLT2)
6 "Don't waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don't throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.
Lesson: God desires that none should perish, and it should also be ours. There will always be stubborn and rebellious people towards God's word because they don't know its value.
Because we find our value in God's word, we must not let that stop us from sharing the knowledge of God's words. But we can be respectful and discerning in our witness so that we are not wasting our time.
