Greetings to all, despite being in the world of chaos, I pray each of us on this Tuesday will be reminded and feel the promised peace and comfort of God during this Advent season as we move through this week. Amen
Many lives have been devastated and, for others, uncomfortable as we've been in battle this year with this horrible pandemic and the other troubles we face. Let us continue our daily walk, knowing that peace is not the absence of problems in our lives but the presence of the Lord, knowing that He is in control.
We often consider being at peace as a state of being comfortable, feeling good, and successful. We often make the mistake of not understanding the peace that Jesus brings. God's peace often calls for a change in each of us and the world's nature and character.
Matthew 10:34 (MSG)
34 "Don't think I've come to make life cozy. I've come to cut—
Luke 12:49 (NCV)
49 "I came to set fire to the world, and I wish it were already burning!
John 14:27 (TLB)
27 "I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid.
Lesson: Having peace of heart and mind doesn't come naturally; therefore, it can feel uncomfortable, nor is it normal.
Only we can stop God's promise of us having peace of mind and heart in our lives. We have the option to receive the gift or to reject it.
