Greetings to all; on this "grateful" Thursday, let us thank God for His perfect timing as we wait for the return of our prayers.
Most of us have heard "The Patience of Job." If you know, you know. While the faithful servant of God lost everything, he ultimately was given back double. The idea of pursuing patience is that one thing no one wants from God.
James 5:10–11 (NIV)
10 Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
11 As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
Lesson: Because God's timing does not match ours, we must persevere in faith to endure the delays and trials in our lives. There are blessings of endurance that come through God's compassion and mercy.
Much needed encouragement to wait on the Lord
