Over - Loaded

Greetings to all, let us humbly thank God for allowing us to make it halfway through this week to this "hump" day Wednesday. May God continue to guide us and strengthen us to overcome any obstacles that we may face, Amen.

The illustration picture of the donkey today is a picture of how we look when we don't carry everything to God in prayer. It is also a reminder that many of us, if not all of us, are carrying around heavy burdens that are hurting and weighing us down.

Jesus has promised us rest from carrying heavy loads. However, we tend to have in our lives, or we tend to surround ourselves with those who overload us with their burdens.

Matthew 11:28 (NLT2)

28 Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Donkeys are known as the beast of burdens; they are generally used to carry heavy loads or perform other heavy work. As Christians, we are told that God won't put more on us than we could bear (1 Corinthians 10:13); and that we should get rid of everything that slows us down, especially sin that distracts us (Hebrews 12:1b).

Lesson: We need to know that we are not created to be beast of burdens, but we are promised through Christ Jesus, to be able to carry whatever is placed on us.

We can release to God whatever burdens or situations that weigh us down. God wants to help us carry them, and He always sends someone willing to help us.
