Greetings to all, let us thank God for this first Monday in September, known as Labor Day. We thank Him for the blessing of working and his strength to complete each day.
We pray for all the essential and front-line workers who place their lives on the line for us, we pray for their safety, pay increases, and we pray that those who need work will find a job. Amen
Today in America is dedicated to all the hands that put in the effort to work hard to keep society going. If you're an employer, please use this day to extend a simple, genuine thank you to your employees who put in their time to work hard for your business or organization. Something as simple as a sincere thank you will make them feel appreciated!
Ever since creation, God has given us work to do. God demonstrates that He loves us and that He has created each of us for a purpose by allowing us to see each new day. No day has to be wasted because He gives us the strength to accomplish our day to day tasks in our lives.
Colossians 3:23-25 (HCSB)
23 Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men,
24 knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.
25 For the wrongdoer will be paid back for whatever wrong he has done, and there is no favoritism.
Lesson: Certainly, serving God matters. As Christians, we work hard and struggle to live a godly life because we place our confidence in God's living. He is the Savior of all people, especially those who believe (1 Timothy 4:10).
Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord's work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
