Only Human?

Greetings to all, let us not be so busy this Tuesday that we forget to pray. God wants to communicate with us, and He desires His Spirit to lead and guide us daily. Amen

Man is the treasure of God's heart, and we are privileged to be able to have 24/7 access to His direction, guidance, and His Spirit. Having immortal bodies, we need to be aware that life is precious, and it is short.

Humankind is the highest intelligent being of God's creation. Yet, we tend to use a common phrase; I'm only human. We mostly use the phrase when things we are responsible for are not going well or looking for an excuse from imposed unrealistic expectations that others have placed on us. Beyond our being human/flesh, we are spirit as well.

Psalm 8:4-6 (NRSV)

4. What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?

5 Yet you have made them a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.

6 You have given them dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under their feet,

John 6:63 (NRSV)

63 It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

Lesson: At creation, Adam's body came from the dust of the earth. Today the Holy Spirit comes from God. We choose if we will live according to the desires of the flesh, only being human or humans living filled with God's Spirit.
