Greetings to all, let us thank God for another day to make the most of our lives, for we know not what tomorrow holds. Amen
There is nothing wrong with us looking ahead or planning for our future. However, we must put God in those plans. Only our God knows what lies ahead for any of us.
Proverbs 16:9 (NLT2)
9 We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.
If you're one of the many people saying that they are ready to abandon and leave the year 2020, I urge you to slow down and let us make the best of this gift of time that God is giving to us.
James 4:13-16 (TLB)
13 Look here, you people who say, "Today or tomorrow we are going to such and such a town, stay there a year, and open up a profitable business."
14 How do you know what is going to happen tomorrow? For the length of your lives is as uncertain as the morning fog—now you see it; soon it is gone.
15 What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to, we shall live and do this or that."
16 Otherwise, you will be bragging about your own plans, and such self-confidence never pleases God.
Lesson: We all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Our lives are like a vapor or a mist; we can be here today and gone tomorrow.
We must live each day for the glory of God! Why? Because life is short, but heaven is forever.
