Greetings to all, on this Sunday, let us thank God that with His help and what He did through Christ Jesus, we will be able to endure whatever we may face today and always. Amen
On what foundation are you building your life? Having a stable and firm foundation is the most important and needed part of our faith if we are to endure in our Christian Faith.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15 (NLT2)
11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.
12 Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw.
13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value.
14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.
15 But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.
Jesus is the only sure foundation; however, many will attempt to build a life on their own strengths and abilities.
Matthew 7:24 (MSG)
24 "These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock.
The time will surely come to test what materials we've built our spiritual house on.
Lesson: So, let us practice obedience, digging deep into God's word, not only hearing but responding and following it, which becomes the solid foundation that allows us to weather and survive the storms of life.
