On Bended Knees

Greetings to all, let us thank God that we are halfway through this week. On this "hump" day, Wednesday, let us kneel in prayer and bless the Lord for who He is and for all that He has done and will be doing as we move through this week. Amen

There has been much negativity in our society about kneeling. Let each of us use that negativity as a challenge to prompt us to actively take on the posture of kneeling when communicating with God.

Prayer is essential in the kingdom of God, but, for many of us, the practice of prayer has become a quick and hasty rehearsed script that we call prayer. We seem to have abandoned the posture of kneeling. There is power in kneeling.

Our posture and position of prayer not only represent our surrender, but it shows our acceptance of being in the presence of the Most High God.

Philippians 2:10 (NRSV)

10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

I read a quote that says: "A strong Godly warrior knows what she believes. And she stands firm in His word. Her battles are won on her knees."

Let us not be weak or lazy when it comes to prayer because not only do we rely on our prayers to change our circumstances in our lives, but others also depend on our prayers.

James 5:16 (NLT2)

16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

We are to pray at all times, and kneeling may not be an option, but, at some point, When we pray, we should take on the posture of kneeling with open hearts and stretched out hands.

We can Kneel in a posture to pray now or later.

Psalm 95:6-7 (GW)

6 Come, let's worship and bow down. Let's kneel in front of the LORD, our maker,

7 because he is our God and we are the people in his care, the flock that he leads. If only you would listen to him today!

Romans 14:11 (NLT2)

11 For the Scriptures say, "'As surely as I live,' says the LORD, 'every knee will bend to me,and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.'"

Lesson: "Just keep on praying." We are privileged to go into the Lord's presence.

As prayer warriors on bended knees, in and for the kingdom of God, we must take on prayer as a way of living and not always just a quick means of trying to change God's mind or to get what we want from Him.
