Greetings to all, let us thank God for seeing another "hump" day Wednesday. We are halfway through the week; let's not look back but focus on finishing strong by committing every burden or concern weighing heavy on us to God. Amen
If we're going to finish this week strong or anything in life, we must be dedicated and not make it a habit of looking back on our past mistakes or sins or looking to do anything that will pull us away from following Jesus.
Although, some past life experiences and lessons from our past are worth looking back on.
Luke 9:62 (HCSB)
62 But Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God."
Luke 9:62 (TLB)
62 But Jesus told him, "Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God."
I once read a quote that said: "the reason why people give up so fast is that, they tend to look at how far they have to go. Instead of how far they have gotten."
Isaiah 43:18 (GW)
18 Forget what happened in the past, and do not dwell on events from long ago.
Lesson: Past mistakes, sins, and other distractions will hold many of us back, even after saying that we want to follow Jesus.
Thank God that we are not our past mistakes nor our sins. Let us not be distracted and in whatever we set out to do, let's give it all we got!
Keep pressing on; there is no turning back!!!
