Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, let us not give up on trying to achieve something that we thought was unachievable. And let us continue to look to God for the help we need.
God promises never to leave us or forsake us; however, we often put our care and hope in others. While having those we can depend on can be a good thing, we should never rely solely on others when we don't have to. Each of our futures is dependent on what we do for ourselves.
John 5:6-9 (MSG)
6 When Jesus saw him stretched out by the pool and knew how long he had been there, he said, "Do you want to get well?"
7 The sick man said, "Sir, when the water is stirred, I don't have anybody to put me in the pool. By the time I get there, somebody else is already in."
8 Jesus said, "Get up, take your bedroll, start walking."
9 The man was healed on the spot. He picked up his bedroll and walked off. That day happened to be the Sabbath.
Lesson: In this life, anyone one of us can find ourselves feeling helpless, defeated, and in a tough spot with no one to help us. If we're going to get up and move on to a better way of life, it takes courage.
