No Excuses Friday

Greetings to all, on this Friday, let's rejoice and let us also remain committed to finishing this week strong. Amen

God knows that our families and our jobs are important to us, but He wants us to know that our obedience to Him is better than sacrifice in His Kingdom. We all have had and made excuses at some point and time.

Many of us make excuses using our families and our jobs. We even make excuses when it comes to our worship. Our most famous excuse is that "I'm too," you fill in the blank.

Luke 14:16-20 (TLB)

16 Jesus replied with this illustration: "A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations.

17 When all was ready, he sent his servant around to notify the guests that it was time for them to arrive.

18 But they all began making excuses. One said he had just bought a field and wanted to inspect it and asked to be excused.

19 Another said he had just bought five pairs of oxen and wanted to try them out.

20 Another had just been married and for that reason couldn't come.

Sometimes circumstances make it hard for us to keep our commitments, but we should not use them as excuses.

Let today be a no excuse Friday, and let us finish our week strong, completing our responsibilities, knowing that having Christ is greater than our excuses, and the way we live is a reflection of Jesus in our lives.

Lesson: Don't let our excuses make us miss our blessings or keep us from coming to and following Christ because they can ultimately keep us out of Heaven.
