Greetings to all, thank God for seeing us through this week, bringing us to the weekend and the beginning of a new year. There isn't anything impossible with the help of the Lord. His goodness is never-ending and never not enough. Amen
We have made it this far with God's help, and we should only be thinking of and looking back at yesterday to see how far He has brought us. Please don't spend too much time thinking about yesterday; we are getting a do-over each new day and each new year.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (MSG)
17 Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it!
18 All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other.
If we're going to have a good year, let us follow the instructions of Jesus to seek first the kingdom of God.
Matthew 6:33 (NLT2)
33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Lesson: Each of us has the opportunity to take advantage of the fresh start that we can have this year by starting the new year off right by first seeking God and His Kingdom, living right, and thanking God for all that has passed, the blessings, and the hard times.
