Greetings to all, it is my prayer this Sunday morning that each of us feels God's presence this day. I pray that each of us hears His voice guiding and directing our steps. I pray that as we study God's word with each passing day that each of us feels like we are growing closer and closer to Him. Amen
With so much going on today, it can be hard to hear what the Lord is trying to say to us. Now that the world is in peace be still mode, God wants us to listen to what he is and has been saying throughout the history of the world.
When we grow closer to God, we will be able to hear and recognize His voice. God sent Jesus to show us the most realistic path to know Him and welcome His (the Lord Jesus) return.
But, unfortunately, when Jesus began His work, only a few recognized and followed Him as the coming Messiah, the one with the authority and power.
John 16:12-16 (TLB)
12 "Oh, there is so much more I want to tell you, but you can't understand it now.
13 When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, he shall guide you into all truth, for he will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
14 He shall praise me and bring me great honor by showing you my glory.
15 All the Father's glory is mine; this is what I mean when I say that he will show you my glory.
16 "In just a little while I will be gone, and you will see me no more; but just a little while after that, and you will see me again!"
If we don't know who God is, When the Lord appears to us, we will not recognize that He is the Lord. So, to welcome the Lord, we must learn to recognize God's voice by desiring to know Him through the word, allowing the word to transform us, and we must live by the word.
Lesson: Even though the world is experiencing difficult times, we must not let the difficult times push us away from God; we must allow it to draw us near Him. We must not allow the world's noise to keep us from hearing the voice of God.
