Moving On To The New

Greetings to all, let us thank God as we enter this new month of September. May we grow even closer to Him and allow Him to lead and guide us as we move through this new chapter of our lives. Amen

The past few months may not have been so easy, but as we continue to move on to the new and unexpected things in our lives, we can always be assured that God is with us. With each passing day, God makes us new and unique.

With Christ, every moment of every day brings a fresh and new beginning, and the chance for a new start. We don't have to fret over or be consumed by what we consider to be our failures because God renews His grace every day and in every situation that we may face.

Lamentations 3:22-24 (NIV)

22 Because of the LORD's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (GW)

16 That is why we are not discouraged. Though outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly, we are renewed day by day.

17 Our suffering is light and temporary and is producing for us an eternal glory that is greater than anything we can imagine.

18 We don't look for things that can be seen but for things that can't be seen. Things that can be seen are only temporary. But things that can't be seen last forever.

Lesson: For us not to be discouraged and to be able to keep up with the newness that life brings to us, we must understand that life is sometimes hard, and the world can be a cruel, mean, and lonely place. However, we must never give up!

And although our bodies are wasting away, we must trust and look to God and let his love and grace renew our spirits because everything in this world is only temporary.
