Greetings to all; this Sunday, as we worship, let our praise be for the Lord, who is worthy of praise among all men.
We live in a culture hungry for fame and fortune. While we may not all reach a level of fame or fortune, we should all strive to live in a way that pleases God. This means living a life that reflects His love, mercy, and grace. In the world of social media, anyone can quickly rise to fame with the approval of others. However, in the kingdom of God, there are no shortcuts.
Matthew 3:17 (KJV)
17 And lo a voice from Heaven, saying, this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Lesson: Jesus is famous for being pleasing to God. He is also the only winner over sin and is given spiritual authority. We can keep Jesus famous and help others find salvation by spreading the Gospel, which is the good news. Jesus is the only way to our Father in Heaven.
