Greetings to all; this Sunday, whether we joyfully come together to worship or worship individually, let us take a moment to reflect on our love for God deeply.
The Bible, God’s holy word, is clear about the privilege and priority of love. We are not to have any other god. It is also clear that we are to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, minds, and souls.
Matthew 22:36–40 (NCV)
36 “Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?”
37 Jesus answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.’
38 This is the first and most important command.
39 The second command is like the first: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’
40 All the prophets’ laws and writings depend on these two commands.”
Lesson: Remember God’s holy word: “I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” This command is to love Him first, instructing us not to place any other gods before Him.
